Objectives:
The purpose of the training workshop is to get students started with using the APSYS software for simulation of SGT MOSFET and Double gate MOSFETs. Quantum mechanic (QM) models implemented in the APSYS simulator will be discussed as it is a main issue regarding the recent advanced device modeling.
Lectures:
Lectures will be given on theoretical models and physical parameters related to quantum-MOS modeling. File structures, related graphic user interface (GUI) programs and simulation procedures will be explained through several examples of SGT and double gate MOSFETs.
Demonstrations:
Through movies and live demonstrations, the use of GUI program will be explained.
Also data interface (import and export) with other software (such as SUPREM, Grapher) will be demonstrated.
Hands-on training:
There should be time for students to try setting up a series of simulations of SGT/DG-MOSFET during this training workshop.
Language:
Lectures will be given in English while question/answer sessions may be conducted in either Chinese or English.
